17 year old Simone Biles Makes Women’s Gymnastics History

Last Friday, at just 17 years of age, Texas native, Simone Biles joined the most elite of ranks when she became only the sixth woman AND first in 11 years to win consecutive all-around titles at the World Gymnastics Championships.

After Svetlana Khorkina achieved the same feat back in 2003, ten other women have held the title, greatly due to the fact that injuries and stiff competition make winning it all two years in a row an almost impossible task; but not for Biles.

Known as a fierce competitors with explosiveness and power that can’t be matched (anyone else notice black gymnasts are always “explosive”?…duh they have thighs), she is currently doing one of the hardest vaults in the world AND her floor routine is so insane that she literally has to fight to get it approved (haters gon’ hate…).

What makes this even more incredible is the fact that this young woman has only been competing on the professional circuit for the past four years and with the upcoming Rio Olympics in 2016, we are sure she will be one of the toughest competitors on the floor.

Check out one of her winning floor routines below and tell me this girl doesn’t have springs in her feet because she literally LAUNCHES off the floor.
