Adopted Teen Defies Odds

Tyree Grant had a pretty difficult childhood. The Bronx native was taken away from his biological mother and three siblings and was put into foster home after another at the tender age of six. As luck would have it, at the age of 8 he met his current parents, Walter and Theresa Grant, who adopted him and changed his life course for the better.

Tyree is set to graduate this month from Bronx School of Law and Finance with a 4.0 average. He has shown his academic prowess through his advanced coursework and has interned at New York law firms. He has also been active in the community through World Changers Church.

With an indomitable spirit and the guidance of the Grants who stressed faith and education, Tyree will now be attending Dickinson College this fall with a full scholarship thanks to the always amazing Posse Foundation (seriously, if you know any high school students, make sure you tell them about Posse).

We know there are great things in store for Tyree.
