Inspired to speak up after Dorian Johnson, a close friend of Michael Brown, the 18 year old shot to death by Ferguson, Missouri police, came forward, Tiffany Mitchell is now telling her side of this tragic story.
Mitchell sat with CNN last night to recount how she saw the shooting play out from her car. She claims to have been driving by and pulled over once she saw the events take place.
Mitchell said she was driving when she saw Brown trying to pull away from an officer in his squad car. The two seemed to be “tussling through a window” in the car. She went on to state
“As I pull onto the side, the kid, he finally gets away, he starts running. As he runs the police get outof his vehicle and he follows behind him, shooting. And the kid’s body jerked as if he was hit from behind, and he turns around and puts his hands up like this and the cop continued to fire until he just dropped down to the ground and his face just smacks the concrete.”
Tiffany had attempted to record the shooting with her cell phone, but was unable to get it out in time to catch it. We hope this helps bring the officer(s) involved to justice.
