Cheryl Boone Isaacs Continues To Make History In The Film Industry

A pioneer in the film industry, currently paving the way for future women of color, film marketing executive Cheryl Boone Isaacs has been re-elected for a second one year term as president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Last year, her appointment helped her make history as the first female black president of the film academy and only the third woman to fill this role in the institution’s 87 year history.

This past year, Cheryl was inducted into the NAACP’s Hall of Fame and honored as ESSENCE Magazine’s Trailblazer of the Year. She has been a member of the academy for the past 22 years.
