While Lupita may have been laying somewhat low, simply dazzling us with her regal beauty and all around awesomeness at select red carpet events, she was actually secretly preparing to hit us from all angles. And that is exactly what is about to happen.
Aside from showing us that women of color can easily and successfully rock all types of hairstyles and makeup colors, Lupita is now living proof that actresses need not be categorized into one genre or even media type.
Lupita will be making her Broadway debut this fall in the premier of the NYC production of Eclipsed, which takes place during the Liberian Civil war and tells the story of a group of women that are captive wives of a rebel officer.
This is on top of her next big screen appearance in the upcoming Star Wars:The Force Awakens, which hits theatres December 18 and her lending her voice to the starring role of Raksha in the animated remake of The Jungle Book.
We will absolutely be supporting, watching, attending and basically just all around praising anything Lupita-esque because the is the epitome of black excellence.
