NFL Player Sets Sights On Becoming Uber Driver

A.J. Francis, a 24 year old, 6’5 330 lb defensive lineman for the Miami Dolphins is realizing his childhood dream of playing in the NFL, but has another career aspiration – to become a drive for Uber.

After making the surprising announcement via his Twitter, he explained to the Daily News his thought process behind it. He has been an avid user of the app for two years, and has heard from almost every one of the individuals who gave him a ride that it is a great way to earn supplemental income.

A.J. gave the simplest answer when asked why he cares about being a driver. He stated “You know what’s better than NFL money? More money.”

Francis earned $385,000 from his contract last year. It seems as if he’s learned from the mistakes of many professional athletes before him, who have faced serious financial troubles after making tens and even hundreds of millions of dollars and plans to do all he can to save up while he’s young and still getting those big checks.

Smart man.
