Philly Man and Dog Conquer Men’s Fashion Industry

After years of cultivating a loyal fan base through trunk shows, pop up shops, social media and simply giving the public what they want, Seun Olubodun and his pet bulldog/brand mascot have finally opened a flagship location in Philadelphia and it is set to bring in $400,000 in revenue in 2015 alone.

Duke & Winston (perfectly named after his loyal dog Duke and Winston Churchill, since Seun is London-born) is an upscale men’s apparel and accessories shop featuring stylish, preppy and very unique pieces.

At just 32, this was not an easy journey to entrepreneurial success for Olubodun, as he has experienced his fair share of highs and lows. From running a web design business for restaurants from his college dorm room to starting a t-shirt business that eventually grew into present-day Duke & Winston, the countless 4 am nights and extreme levels of dedication that prompted him to throw out his TV to reduce distractions have helped shape Seun into the savvy businessman he is today.

Olubodun is a testament to what sheer grit and perseverance can create. He is a young man who has pulled himself by his own bootstraps, due to the example that his parents, who emigrated to the US from Nigeria when he was 13, set for him and his siblings. Success comes with sacrifice and Duke & Winston is living proof of what hard work and dedication can accomplish.

Next time you’re in Philly, make sure you stop by and checkout Duke & Winston at 1822 Chestnut Street.
