Kendrick Lamar is taking his story to the movie screen. Next week at Sundance’s first annual NEXT FEST in Los Angeles, uber successful filmmaker, Khalil Joseph, who has worked on big hits such as Eat Pray Love, Legally Blonde and Leverage, will debut his 14 minute movie titled m.A.A.d.
The short film is based on Kendrick’s debut album and revolves around several interlocking storylines and how they ultimately collide in LA.
At just 27 years of age, Lamar has already made his mark on the music industry and is considered one of the best of the next class of emcees. His next commercial album, still unnamed as of now, is set to be released some time later this year.
