Deal with Jay Z’s Roc Nation? Check. WNBA and overseas basketball contracts? Check. Nike Endorsements, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit spread and not ever having to deal with new growth because her hair is silky and luscious? Check, check and check.
These days, Skylar Diggins has rose from almost obscurity as a college basketball player, to become one of the most nationally (and internationally) known women sports players. While many debate on her actual skill and if she’s “worthy” of all the attention, (I’m not sure how…her 20.1 points per game made her second in scoring among all players…sheesh) one thing is sure – she is smart and business-savvy enough to know how to capitalize on every opportunity she comes across and dedicated and hard working enough to put in the necessary work.
And brands are starting to take notice. In addition to her deal with Nike and Eastbay and her guest appearance on the ESPYs (Can I…dig in?), Skylar is now adding BODYARMOR ambassador to her list of titles. She is joining the ranks of Kobe Bryant, Kevin Love and James Harden and stands to gain an equity stake in the quickly growing sports drink company.
Beauty, business-minded and biceps (and baby hairs)…seems like Skylar can’t lose these days!
