Teen Girl Leads Her Little League Team To The World Series

13 year old Mo’Ne Davis stellar pitching performance this past Sunday culminated in advancing her team to the Little League World Series.

Her golden arm not only launched pitches upwards of 70 mph, but allowed only three hits and three walks in 9 innings, leading her teammates to an 8-0 win over their  opponents.

Mo’Ne pitches for the Taney Youth Baseball Association Little League of Philadelphia and this past Sunday, helped them easily beat out the Delaware-Newark National Little League. This was a huge win not only for the team, which has a great chance at winning the national title, but also for the city of Philadelphia, as this is its first time having a team compete in the Little League World Series.

She may not be the first girl to compete in the series, but she is only the 17th in the league’s 68-year history.

The World Series kicks off this Thursday, August 14, in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

We’re rooting for Mo’Ne!
