The coolest first lady with the best arms ever is teaming up with top rapper Wale to promote higher education at a White House event taking place tomorrow.
In connection with Mrs. Obama’s Reach Higher initiative, which aims to encourage the youth to dream bigger, she has recruited the musician, Education Secretary Arne Duncan and Manuel Contreras, a senior at Brown University to produce a panel discussion to over 130 high school seniors on the importance of continuing their education post-graduation. The audience, made up of urban, rural foster, homeless and special needs students, are the exact type of students that can benefit the most from this tailored type of attention.
The speakers will share tips on successfully transitioning from high school to college and have a candid discussion on the importance of education.
This is a great program created by our FLOTUS and we would love to see other rappers, who our youth really look up to, become brand ambassadors for education as well.
Kendrick Lamar is another one, who is a large advocate of education and uplifting his community.
